SIGN UP FOR WORKSHOPSThe first step for beef producers to participate in the VBP program is to sign-up to attend VBP workshops that are held regularly across the country. Contact your local Provincial Delivery Agent (PDA) for the latest information on workshop dates and how to participate. more » |
THIS MONTH'S FEATURED SOPStandard operating procedures (SOPs) for management practices in the VBP program are designed to reduce or eliminate the possibility of a food safety concern on a beef cattle operation. This month's featured SOP is Pesticides and Manure management. Producers are required to manage herbicides or general farm pesticides and manure in a manner that avoids contamination of feed, water or directly to the cattle. |
